Reuben Luther Whitten 
Reuben Luther was born on July 31st, 1883 in Heidenheimer, Bell Co., Texas.1 Reuben Luther's father was Robert Weir Johnson Whitten and his mother was Lucy Emma Davis. His paternal grandparents were Alfred Carnes Whitten and Sarah Frances Kenneda; his maternal grandparents were Reuben E Davis and Elizabeth Whitaker. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Robert Glover, Jewel Clark, Ernest William, Mary Edith, Lela Gertrude, Ida Alwilda, Lillian Ruth and Grace. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 77 on April 19th, 1961 in Vernon, Wilbarger Co., Texas.1 -
