Robert Weir Johnson was born on September 12th, 1856 in Ranoke, Randolph Co., Alabama.1 Robert Weir Johnson's father was Alfred Carnes Whitten and his mother was Sarah Frances Kenneda. His paternal grandparents were Lindsey Whitten and Margaret Kenneda\Kennedy. He had two brothers and a sister, named Raiford Bell, John William and Sarah Ann Frances. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 47 on September 4th, 1904 in Oenaville, Bell Co., Texas. He was buried in Barkley Cem., Bell Co., Texas.1 1 -
