William Edmiston 
William was born in 1793.1 William's father was John Edmiston and his mother was Mary Buchanan. His paternal grandparents were William Edmiston and Agnes Holmes; his maternal grandparents were Andrew Buchanan and Johanna Hays. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Andrew, Samuel, Johannah, Nancy, Martha Patsy, Polly, Selina, Jane and Margaret. He was the second oldest of the ten children.General Notes
