William Hay Crawford 
William Hay was born on September 17th, 1832 in Tennessee.1 William Hay's father was James A Crawford and his mother was Rachel Sawyers Crawford. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Crawford and Rachel Lesley; his maternal grandparents were John Crawford and Margaret Buchanan. He had six brothers and three sisters, named John Alexander, Archabold, James Leslie, Pleasant Alfred, Isaac C, Thomas Edward, Margaret M, Rachel Emma and Nancy J. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died in Crawford, Oklahoma.1 General Notes
