Rachel Sawyers Crawford 
Rachel Sawyers was born on December 13th, 1806 in Tennessee.1 Rachel Sawyers' father was John Crawford and her mother was Margaret Buchanan. Her paternal grandparents were William Crawford and Rachel Sawyers; her maternal grandparents were Andrew Buchanan and Johanna Hays. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Hays, William D, James, Andrew Alexander, Naomi, Eleanor, Nancy and Joanna. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 72 on August 10th, 1879 in Crawford Family Cemetery, Washington, Arkansas.1 General Notes
