William D Crawford 
William D was born on March 22nd, 1801 in Tennessee.1 William D's father was John Crawford and his mother was Margaret Buchanan. His paternal grandparents were William Crawford and Rachel Sawyers; his maternal grandparents were Andrew Buchanan and Johanna Hays. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Hays, James, Andrew Alexander, Naomi, Rachel Sawyers, Eleanor, Nancy and Joanna. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 81 in 1882 in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Washington, Arkansas.1 General Notes
