Samuel Steele Buchanan 
Samuel Steele was born on March 23rd, 1796 in Davidson County, Tennessee.1 Samuel Steele's father was David Buchanan and his mother was Margaret Steele. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Buchanan and Johanna Hays. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Andrew, David, Martha Steele, Mary, Joanna and Isabella. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 76 on January 20th, 1873 in Lincoln County, Tennessee.1 General Notes
