Her paternal grandparents were Thomas de Holand Earl of Kent and Joan the Fair Maid Plantagenet; her maternal grandparents were Richard FitzAlan II Earl of Arundel and Alianor Plantagenet. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Edmund de Holand, Joan, Margaret and Alianor. She was the youngest of the six children. She had a half-sister named Jane.-
