Robert de Vere Earl of Oxford 
Robert de Vere was born in 1230 in Hedinham, Essex, England.1 Robert de Vere's father was Hugh de Vere Earl of Oxford and his mother was Hawise de Quincy. His paternal grandparents were Robert de Vere Earl of Oxford and Isabella de Bolbec; his maternal grandparents were Saher de Quincy IV Earl of Winchester and Margaret de Beaumont. He had a sister named Isabelle. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 66 on September 2nd, 1296 in England.1 General Notes

Sources conflict on who was Roberts wife. The Complete Peerage says it was
Alice de Sanford who was the mother of Joan. That is a reliable source.
