Robert de Vere was born in 1170 in Hatfield, Essex, England.1 Robert de Vere's father was Aubrey de Vere III Earl of Oxford and his mother was Lucy (Agnes) de Abrincis. His paternal grandparents were Aubrey de Vere and Adeliza de Clare; his maternal grandparents were Henry de Abrincis Earl of Essex and Cecily of Rayleigh. He had a half-brother named Robert. He died before October 25th, 1221 in Colne, Essex, England.1 -
