Thurstan was born about 1220 in Upholland, Lancashire, England.1 Thurstan's father was Robert de Holand and his mother was Cecily de Columbers. His paternal grandfather was Matthew de Holand; his maternal grandparents were Alan de Columbers and Cicily de Waleton. He was an only child. He died in 1275.1 -
