Margaret was born in 1262 in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.1 Margaret's father was Sir William de Fiennes II Ct of Fiennes and her mother was Johanna de Dammartin. Her paternal grandparents were Sir and Isabel de Condé; her maternal grandparents were Simon de Dammartin II de Aumâle Ct of Montreul and Marie (Jeanne) de Ponthieu Cts of Ponthieu.
