Hugh de Clermont was born in 1030 in of Clermont, Oise, France.1   Hugh de Clermont's father was Renaud de Clermont and his mother was Ermengardis de Clermont.  His paternal grandfather was Hugh de Creil; his maternal grandfather was Baudouin II Ct of Clermont.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 71 in 1101.1
