Maud of Carinthia 
Maud was born in of Karnten, Austria.1 Maud's father was Ingelbert II Duke of Carinthia and her mother was Utha von Sulzbach. Her paternal grandparents were Engelbert I Lavanthal Ct of Lavanthal and Hedwig (de Lavanthal); her maternal grandfather was Ulric von Putten. She was an only child. She died on December 13th, 1160.1 General Notes

She was a member of the dynasty which is now called
"Sponheimer" and which survives in (for example) the Princes of
Sayn and the Counts of Ortenburg. She was a daughter of
Engelbert II (d. 1141), Duke of Carinthia from 1090, and his
