Jean I de Ponthieu was born about 1140 in of Normandy, France.1   Jean I de Ponthieu's father was Guy de Ponthieu II Ct of Ponthieu and his mother was Ida de St. Pol.  He was an only child.  He died on June 30th, 1191 in Acre, Palestine.1
