Mary was born in 1080 in Scotland.1   Mary's father was Malcolm III Caennmor King of Scots and her mother was Margaret the Exile of England.  Her paternal grandparents were Duncan I MacCrinan the Gracious King of Scots and Aelflaed (Sybil) of Northumbria; her maternal grandparents were Edward the Exile of the West Saxons and Agatha von Braunschweig. She had a brother and a sister, named David I The Saint and Matilda (Edith) of Scotland.  She was the second oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother named Duncan II of Scotland.  She died at the age of 36 on May 31st, 1116 in Bermondsey, London, England.  She was buried in Bermondsey Abbey.2 2
