Malcolm of Alba was born about 0954 in Scotland.1 Malcolm of Alba's father was Kenneth I of Alba King of Scots. His paternal grandfather was Malcolm I of Alba King of Alba. He was an only child. He died on November 25th, 1034 in Glamis Castle, Angus, Scotland. He was buried after November 25th, 1034.1 1 General Notes

Murdered by his kinsman.
Acceded as King of Scotland.
Interred: Isle of Iona.
Defeated Danes & conquered Lothian.
King of Alba, King of Strathclyde.
Said to have married an Irish woman from Ossory.
Defeated the Danes of King Canute.
Published a code of laws.
He vainly tried to invade England, was defeated, & his army was
"cut to pieces".
Fought a battle with Uchtred, son of Waltheof, Earl of
Northumbrians, and overcame the Danes, 1017. He published a
code of laws and was murdered 25 November 1034. '1004 Malcolm
the son of Kenneth, a most victorious king, reigned 30 years
through, On 1034 Malcolm King of Scots died.'
