Stephen King of England 
Stephen was born in 1095 in Blois, France.1 Stephen's father was Etienne-Henri "le Sage" Ct of Blois and his mother was Adela (Alice) de Normandy. His paternal grandparents were Theobald III de Champagne Ct of Champagne and Garsende von Maine; his maternal grandparents were William II the Bastard Duke of Normandy and Matilda (Maud) de Flandre. He had two brothers named William de Blois and Palatine. He had a half-sister named Emma. He died at the age of 59 on October 25th, 1154 in Dover Castle, Dover, Kent, England.1 General Notes

by his nephew Stephen of Blois (reigned 1135-54), his only
legitimate son having drowned in the wreck of the White Ship
which sank in the English Channel in 1120. Although widely
preferred in England and Normandy as Henry's successor, Stephen
lacked ruthlessness and failed to inspire loyalty. Henry's
daughter, Matilda, invaded England in 1139 to claim the throne
and the country was plunged into civil war. Neither side was
strong enough to win and the war ended only in 1153 when
Matilda's son, Henry, Count of Anjou, was recognised as heir to
the throne.
