Her paternal grandparents were Fulk II le Bon de Anjou Ct of Anjou and Gerberge de Maine; her maternal grandparents were Robert de Vermandois Ct of Meaux & Chalon and Adela 'Were' de Chalons Cts of Vermandois. She had a brother and a sister, named Fulk III Nerra the Black and Adela. She was the youngest of the three children.-
