Nancy L. was born about 1843 in Newberry County, SC.1 Nancy L.'s father was Joseph Boland and her mother was Magdalene Frick. Her paternal grandparents were Abram Boland and Eva Christina Sease. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Sam, James Middleton, William A., Abraham M., Reubin T., Ruben T., Christine, Mary A. K. and Emmaline. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children. She had two half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Noah, Patrick, Edith A., Laura A., Jane C., Idella, Permelia A. and E. Alice. She was buried in Frick Cemetery, Little Mountain, South Carolina.1 General Notes
