Laura A. was born on December 8th, 1854.1 Laura A.'s father was Joseph Boland and her mother was Elizabeth H. Shealy. Her paternal grandparents were Abram Boland and Eva Christina Sease. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Noah, Patrick, Edith A., Jane C., Idella, Permelia A. and E. Alice. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Sam, James Middleton, William A., Abraham M., Reubin T., Ruben T., Christine, Mary A. K., Emmaline and Nancy L.. She died at the age of 73 on March 17th, 1928. She was buried in Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Mountain, South Carolina.1 1 General Notes
