Robert Roy Thurston 
Robert Roy was born on January 9th, 1898 in Louisa Co., VA. Robert Roy's father was John William Thomas Thurston and his mother was Frances Lewis Grubbs. His paternal grandparents were William H. Thurston and Elizabeth Butler; his maternal grandparents were Frederick J. Grubbs and Sallie A. Newman. He had three brothers and three sisters, named James Edward, Emmet Coleman, John Lindsay, Brownie Cohart, Myrtle Imogene and Lillian Beatrice. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 70 on March 30th, 1968 in Louisa Co., VA.-
