Joseph Stanley 
Joseph was born on October 21st, 1747 in Hanover Co. Virginia.1 Joseph's father was Thomas Stanley and his mother was Elizabeth Crew. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Stanley and Rebecca ?; his maternal grandparents were John Crew and Sarah Gately. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Pleasant, Zachariah, John, Nathan, Thomas, Mary, Anne and Sarah. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Maddox, Elizabeth and Margery. He died at the age of 50 in 1797.-
