Maddox was born on October 17th, 1715 in Hanover Co., Virginia.1 Maddox's father was Thomas Stanley and his mother was Elizabeth Maddox. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Stanley and Rebecca ?; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Maddox and Mary ?. He had two sisters named Elizabeth and Margery. He had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Pleasant, Zachariah, Joseph, John, Nathan, Thomas, Mary, Anne and Sarah. He died at the age of 55 on September 6th, 1771 in Hanover Co., Virginia.General Notes
