John Ruffin

John was born in 1776.  John's father was Willliam Ruffin and his mother was Penelope Winbourne.  His paternal grandparents were William Ruffin and Sarah ?. He had six brothers and a sister, named James T., Henry, William, Thomas, Blount B., Starkey S. W. and Sarah.  He was the third oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named Whitmel Blount.  He died at the age of 68 in 1844.
