Robert Layne 
Robert was born on July 11th, 1759. Robert's father was Ayers Layne and his mother was Mary Woodson. His paternal grandparents were John Layne and Elizabeth Ayers; his maternal grandparents were Robert Woodson and Rebecca Pryor. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Frederick, Tarlton, John, Woodson, Lewis, Benjamin Woodson, George, Sally, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the oldest of the eleven children.-
