George Layne 
George was born in 1782. George's father was Ayers Layne and his mother was Mary Woodson. His paternal grandparents were John Layne and Elizabeth Ayers; his maternal grandparents were Robert Woodson and Rebecca Pryor. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Frederick, Tarlton, John, Woodson, Lewis, Benjamin Woodson, Sally, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the youngest of the eleven children.-
