Lewis Layne 
Lewis was born on July 15th, 1774. Lewis' father was Ayers Layne and his mother was Mary Woodson. His paternal grandparents were John Layne and Elizabeth Ayers; his maternal grandparents were Robert Woodson and Rebecca Pryor. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Frederick, Tarlton, John, Woodson, Benjamin Woodson, George, Sally, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.-
