John Henry 
John was born about 1840 in "Red Hill", Charlotte Co., Virginia. John's father was John Henry and his mother was Elvira Bruce McClelland. His paternal grandparents were Patrick Henry and Dorothea Dandridge; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Stanhope McClelland and Margaret Cabell. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William Wirt, Thomas Stanhope McClelland, Margaret Ann, Elvira, Laura Helen and Emma Cabell. He was the youngest of the seven children.-
