General Notes
21 Oct 1687 - Granted to William Winston, 266 acres in New Kent Co., Virginia (now Hanover Co., Virginia), the land "on which sd Winston dwells" being part of a patent granted to Mr. Moses Davis together with a parcel of land purchased by the said Winston of Mr. David Crawford adjoining the above land & lands of John Lewis, David Crawford & George Phillips [Patent Book 7, pg. 594].
