Benjamin Franklin Harless 
Benjamin Franklin was born on December 28th, 1858 in Shelby Co., AL. Benjamin Franklin's father was George Richard Crowson Harless and his mother was Piety Butler. His paternal grandparents were Henry Harless and Margaret Basore; his maternal grandparents were James McGehee Butler and Candace Dicey. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Henry N., Robert E., James Lafayette, John Thomas, J. M. L. Curry, William M., Elizabeth, Charlotte Y. and Mary Jane. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 47 on February 10th, 1906.-
