James McGehee Butler

James McGehee was born on June 5th, 1758 in St. Paul's Parish, Hanover Co., VA.  James McGehee's father was Zachariah Butler and his mother was Sarah Bowe.  His maternal grandparents were Henry Bowe and Sarah FitzPatrick. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Patrick, Nathan, Zachariah, Joel, Mary and Anna.  He died at the age of 83 on September 11th, 1841 in Shelby Co., AL.  He was buried in Jones-Bailey Cemetery, Highway 31 between Saginaw & Calera AL.
