Piety Butler

Piety was born on July 8th, 1820 in Elbert Co., GA.  Piety's father was James McGehee Butler and her mother was Candace Dicey.  Her paternal grandparents were Zachariah Butler and Sarah Bowe. She had two brothers named Richmond and Beacherson.  She was the oldest of the three children. She had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Zachariah, Christopher, James B., Sarah, Martha, Mary Elizabeth and Nancy.  She died at the age of 67 on November 18th, 1887 in Shelby Co., AL.  She was buried in Harless Cemetery, Shelby Co., AL.
