Richmond Butler

Richmond was born in 1822 in Shelby Co., AL.  Richmond's father was James McGehee Butler and his mother was Candace Dicey.  His paternal grandparents were Zachariah Butler and Sarah Bowe. He had a brother and a sister, named Beacherson and Piety.  He was the second oldest of the three children. He had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Zachariah, Christopher, James B., Sarah, Martha, Mary Elizabeth and Nancy.  He died in Richmond, Virginia during Civil War battle.
