Martha Butler

Martha was born in 1791 in Mecklenburg Co., VA.  Martha's father was James McGehee Butler and her mother was Sarah Christopher.  Her paternal grandparents were Zachariah Butler and Sarah Bowe. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Zachariah, Christopher, James B., Sarah, Mary Elizabeth and Nancy.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Richmond, Beacherson and Piety.  She died at the age of 84 on January 28th, 1875 in Shelby Co., AL.  She was buried in Jones-Bailey Cemetery, Highway 31 between Saginaw & Calera AL.
