James B. Butler

James B. was born on September 25th, 1800 in Elbert Co., GA.  James B.'s father was James McGehee Butler and his mother was Sarah Christopher.  His paternal grandparents were Zachariah Butler and Sarah Bowe. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Zachariah, Christopher, Sarah, Martha, Mary Elizabeth and Nancy.  He was the youngest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Richmond, Beacherson and Piety.  He died at the age of 74 on March 9th, 1875 in Shelby Co., AL.  He was buried in Moore's Crossroad Cemetery, Shelby Co., AL.
