Patty Betty was born on July 4th, 1843. Patty Betty's father was Thomas Cary Anderson and her mother was Jemima Anne Meredith. Her paternal grandparents were Matthew Anderson and Martha Tanner; her maternal grandparents were William Meredith and Sarah Ford Gardener. She had four brothers and three sisters, named William A., Matthew L., Thomas C., Robert Meredith, Sallie Tanner, Lucy Ann and Mary Frances. She was the third youngest of the eight children.-
