William Meredith 
William was born on January 15th, 1784. William's father was Elisha Meredith and his mother was Anne Layne Clopton. His paternal grandparents were Elisha Meredith and Elizabeth Pleasants Cocke. He had six brothers and two sisters, named John, Elisha, Robert, Reuben, Samuel, Thomas, Elizabeth Cocke and Sarah Ann. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 91 on March 12th, 1875.-
