John Meredith 
John was born on September 3rd, 1781. John's father was Elisha Meredith and his mother was Anne Layne Clopton. His paternal grandparents were Elisha Meredith and Elizabeth Pleasants Cocke. He had six brothers and two sisters, named William, Elisha, Robert, Reuben, Samuel, Thomas, Elizabeth Cocke and Sarah Ann. He was the second oldest of the nine children.-
