Reuben Meredith 
Reuben was born in May 1791. Reuben's father was Elisha Meredith and his mother was Anne Layne Clopton. His paternal grandparents were Elisha Meredith and Elizabeth Pleasants Cocke. He had six brothers and two sisters, named John, William, Elisha, Robert, Samuel, Thomas, Elizabeth Cocke and Sarah Ann. He was the third youngest of the nine children.-
