Mabel Beatrice was born in 1882 in Burston, Norfolk, England.  Mabel Beatrice's father was John POTTER and her mother was Christiana Mary BECK.  Her paternal grandparents were George POTTER and Elizabeth BALE. She had five brothers and five sisters, named William George, Ezra John, Sidney Clarke, Edward King, Gordon Stanley, Mildred Alice, Laurina Kate, Gertrude Emma, Edith Edna and Alice Louisa.  She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
