Gordon Stanley was born on August 10th, 1890 in Burston, Norfolk, England.  Gordon Stanley's father was John POTTER and his mother was Christiana Mary BECK.  His paternal grandparents were George POTTER and Elizabeth BALE. He had four brothers and six sisters, named William George, Ezra John, Sidney Clarke, Edward King, Mildred Alice, Laurina Kate, Mabel Beatrice, Gertrude Emma, Edith Edna and Alice Louisa.  He was the youngest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 81 in 1971 in Depwade District.
