Rose A was born about 1860 in Hadlow, Kent, England.1   Rose A's father was John Walter MARTIN and her mother was Mary MARTIN.  Her paternal grandparents were John MARTIN and Mary; her maternal grandparents were William MARTIN and Mary TURNER. She had two brothers and four sisters, named George Henry, Henry, Minnie, Emily, Elizabeth Jane and Clara Louisa.  She was the third oldest of the seven children.
