James Saxby was born in 1802 in Milton Next Sittingbourne, Kent, England.  James Saxby's father was Edward ELLICE and his mother was Ann. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Daniel, George, John, Elizabeth, Ann Maria, Amy and Amy Friday.  He was the third oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 79 in 1881 in Milton Next Sittingbourne, Kent, England.
