Elizabeth was born in 1804 in Milton Next Sittingbourne, Kent, England.  Elizabeth's father was Edward ELLICE and her mother was Ann. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Daniel, George, James Saxby, John, Ann Maria, Amy and Amy Friday.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
