George was born in 1791 in Leeds, Kent.  George's father was James BOULDEN and his mother was Catherine PATTENDEN.  His paternal grandparents were David BOULDEN and Sarah STANLEY. He had three brothers and two sisters, named David, James, Thomas Tonge, Ann and Sarah.  He was the second youngest of the six children.
