Ann was born in 1782 in Leeds, Kent.  Ann's father was James BOULDEN and her mother was Catherine PATTENDEN.  Her paternal grandparents were David BOULDEN and Sarah STANLEY. She had four brothers and a sister, named David, James, George, Thomas Tonge and Sarah.  She was the oldest of the six children.
