Anita's father was Anthony Glean and her mother was Nancy Gorham.  Her maternal grandparents were Capt Benjamin Gorham and Nancy Ann Hinckley. She had two brothers named Francis and James. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Thomas, Frances and Louise.1
