Birth Notes

Benjamin's father was Col Shubael Gorham and his mother was Mary Thacher. His paternal grandparents were Lt. Cnl. John Gorham Jr and Mary/Mercy Otis. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John, David, William, Shubael, Joseph, Mary, Lydia, Hanna and Hanna. He was the youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 67 in 1793.²
