Robert BROWN

Robert was born in 1821 in Whitby, North Yorkshire, England.¹ Robert's father was Joseph BROWN and his mother was Eleanor STAINTHORP. His paternal grandparents were William BROWN and Ann HUMBLE; his maternal grandparents were Francis STAINTHORP and Lucy SMITH. He had five brothers and four sisters, named William, Joseph, Henry, George, John, Eleanor, Lucy, Francis and Mary Jane. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.¹
